Stories of Ramadan Fundraisers
This Ramadan myself and 2 friends are looking to raise money to supply food packs for the people of Kashmir who are in urgent need of our help. There are roughly 1000 beneficiaries who we are trying to support for this project. A single food pack costs as little as £30 and will supply a family for enough food for a month.
We are also looking to support 50 widows with food packs for a whole year as they have no source of income and this will help alleviate the stress of where or when they are getting their next meal. The cost of supporting a widow with food packs for a year would be £360.
Each food pack contains:
Flour 40kg
Sugar 5kg
Rice 5kg
Tea 1/2 kg
Ghee 5kg
Dates 2kg
China daal 2kg
Jaldi 1/2 kg
Chilli powder 1/2kg
Semolina 2kg
Salt 2kg
Gharam masala 1/2kg
Gram flour (baasin) 2kg
