Panthers Party extends condolences to the kin of Krishan Dev Sethi

New Delhi/Jammu/Srinagar ( 29 Jan) The National Panthers Party held condolence meetings in memory of one of the two Communist leaders born in Jammu soil in the twenties. One of them was Late Ram Piara Saraf and the last one who died on January 28, 2021 was Krishan Dev Sethi. His biographic writer has said that Mr. Krishan Dev Sethi was 96 years old and incidentally he was born on January 28, 1925 and died on January 28, 2021.
Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party in his condolence message to the bereaved family members and his admirers and critics conveyed condolence message, “Jammu and Kashmir rather North India lost a great revolutionary, progressive and democratic leader yesterday who was the sole surviving member of the Constituent Assembly of Jammu and Kashmir which was constituted under the leadership of Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah in 1951”.
Prof.Bhim Singh described Mr. Krishan Dev Sethi as one of those who had left a great message in his mind about the revolution/change and the duty of a nationalist for the welfare, growth and development of the wretched of the earth.
Mr. Sethi was elected as Member of the Legislative Assembly of J&K in 1957 on the National Conference mandate. He later along with Ram Piara Saraf floated a Democratic National Conference. Prof.Bhim Singh said that he had learnt about the Leftist movement/revolution/causes of partition of J&K in 1947 from the movement which was led by Late Ram Piara Saraf and Krishan Dev Sethi.
The Sethi parivar gave birth to one of the leading jurists, Mr. Ram Prakash Sethi who reached upto the Supreme Court of India as a leading and fearless judge in the country.
The National Panthers Party, State Legal Aid Committee, J&K and several other prominent lawyers expressed deep condolences on the sad demise of the revolutionary freedom fighter and a prominent leader of J&K who was born in POK, Mirpur. The Panthers Party also conveyed heartfelt condolences to the family members and others and prayed for peace to the departed soul in heaven.
